Queer and Feminist Short Film Program

Lovestruck football players, cosmopolitan grandmothers and North Korean traffic officers. Our queer and feminist short film program shows unique protagonists in a mix of serious and comical films. “My Fat Arse and I” advocates more space for big butts, and “Make Her Dance” is a playful call to masturbation. In “Sweet Revenge”, we learn why one should never mess with a housewife from the 50s, while “Issues With My Other Half” is a humorous take on body horror. The more serious and political “Aysha” depicts a woman’s resistance to a forced religious test. With its striking animations, “Dear Mahsa” reminds us of the terrible women’s and human rights situation in Iran.
