Sisterqueens

“We are a mosaic, the result is a crown!” The rap lyrics of Berlin teenagers Jamila, Rachel, and Faseeha are filled with feminist energy. They are friends and part of the Berlin rap project Sisterqueens, where they are mentored by experienced female rappers. Here, they learn to question societal norms, call out injustices, and celebrate themselves.
This observational documentary follows the three girls over several years, capturing their first steps as young, confident artists who challenge gender stereotypes in rap.
